As you may know, I fully concentrated on global mobile marketing&advertising opportunities that Turkcell could benefit including conferences, benchmarking studies and workshops with operators, mobile marketing agencies, service providers and ad Networks. Therefore, I would like to have a 1 month Exchange Job or Full-time Intership in USA, NY area hopefully in August, 2009 in mobile marketing&advertising area. Just a short bio about myself, I received my bachelor degree from Koc University in Economics with %100 scholarship in 2006. Same year, I started to work in Turkcell, leading company in Turkey listed in NYSE (TKC) and IMKB ( TCELL ) Stock Exchanges. Now, I am in mobile advertising&marketing division as a product manager responsible for new product&business development such as Tone&Win, Sponsored SMS, Ads in Mobile Tv, iPhone Apps. Tone&Win, managed by me, selected as best mobile advertising service of the year in GSMA, 2009. I also attended conferences as a keynote speaker in Israel, Austria and UK in mobile marketing. I directly report to Melis Turkmen who is selected as one of the 10 mobile marketing gurus in the Globe in mobithinking awards.

Wikipedia defines RBT as; “A Ring-back Tone (RBT), or Audible Ringing Tone or Ring-back Signal, is the audible ringing that is heard on the telephone line by the calling party after dialing and prior to the call being answered at the receiving end. This tone assures the calling party that a ringing signal is being sent on the called party’s line, although the ring-back tone may be out of sync with the ringing signal.” RBT is one the best revenue generating value added service for telecom operator. There are two main revenue generators of RBT;

• Monthly subscribtion: Each subscriber has to pay a montly fee to use RBT platform unless he bought nothing as a RBT content.

• Content fee: When you subscribed to RBT, you also buy RBT contents to let your callers listen.

Now we should add a new revenue generator for RBT service; AD RBT! Consumers also win airtimes and units!

Details: I guess Orange launced Promo Tones in July, compared to TonlaKazan this is not a advertising platform. It simple uses RBT platform and added some branded RBT ( Coca Cola, Ikea vs. ) let and subscribers select them as RBT. They also have rewarding program.
